Check out the shooting logic behind our Emergency RTS game along with demonstrating how law enforcement stops fleeing suspects.

Greetings, community!

Shootout & Taser Demonstration

We are thrilled to present you the latest dev video of ‘First Responders’, a game that puts you in charge of managing emergency workers in a busy city. In this video, you can see the player's units engage in a shootout with a suspect while nearby pedestrians run to escape danger. Lastly, you'll see the player's units stop a fleeing suspect by deploying a taser. For the sake of demonstration, we have disabled headshots and instant deaths in this video, so you can see the full extent of the gameplay. This update is a significant improvement from our previous shoot & cover demonstration.

Community Features

We have added or are in the process of adding new community features to open channels of communication between users and staff that directly tie into our workflow, as we value everyone’s opinion:

Suggestions

One of the new community features is Suggestions, where users can submit ideas they have for us to consider. This system directly integrates with our project management solution, so we can keep track of user-submitted ideas. It’s important to note that submitting a suggestion does not guarantee that it will be added to the game. You will receive a notification if your idea is approved, rejected, or integrated.

Polling

Occasionally, we get stumped on features we have planned but are not sure how we feel about them being actually integrated. For example, although we have integrated the mechanics for ammo with firearms, we are unsure if this feature will make the game a more enjoyable experience. This is why we will be launching a polling board on this website, where we will post topics such as “Should weapons in this game have ammunition?” to garner the community’s input. Expect to see an update about this feature posted on our “Announcements” via Discord.

Discord Developer Updates

We post frequent updates to our “Developer Updates” channel and Discord community members can chime in, ask questions, and make suggestions. We welcome and encourage people to do so. Join our Discord at https://discord.gg/eDCdNpm3Qf to chime in as well. Our Discord community requires your Discord account to be verified in order to join the community.

As always, we appreciate your support and are always open to feedback.
